Our girls love "Little House on the Prairie." They've seen a couple of episodes on DVD but mostly we've read "The First Little House" books. Well, last night starting at supper the girls decided they wanted to play "Little House on the Prairie." Mary Fran was Mary, Evie Laura, Drew Pa, me Ma, and Ward was the old bulldog, Jack. This game continued after supper when Drew (Pa) gave the three baths. We pretended it was Saturday and our bathtub was the wash basin that we had filled with water boiled over the fire. I am loving it because I never read any of these books growing up and they are just wonderful! It really is thought provoking to see how others lived "way back when" and be encouraged to simplify our lives now.
Well, after dressing for bed, the girls decided they would wear their mop caps that Aunt Molly brought them from Williamsburg. They slept with them and woke up ready to go today! We sure do love to play here!For those of you who don't know, Mary Fran is a CLOWN!!!! After lunch today she decided to put on a "clown show" for us. The part I have here was after she had been going for a good 30 minutes. Do enjoy!
