The Annual Christmas Drama

As some of you may already know, the children and their cousins always do a Christmas play.  There have been many different takes on it but this year's was especially good.  I think we may have some budding thespians!

We Love to Sing!

In December the children had a few chances to sing in public.  The first was at Mountaineer Heating and Cooling's Christmas party and the second was in church one Sunday.  Enjoy!

My Place

Recently I stumbled upon this video and it really hit a nerve...and in a good way.  The Lord has showed me recently just how far His mercy goes and I am reminded anew how deep His love is.  I hope you will get as much from this short video as I did.

Snow Time

So far we've only had one really good snow to sled, etc. in and that was back in November.  The kiddos had a really good time in our neighbor's yard as they have a nice, long hill.  Enjoy the plethora of videos!

The African Way!

This year in our homeschool we're studying different countries and cultures using My Father's World curriculum.  It really is a lot of fun and I'm learning just as much or more than the kiddos!  At any rate, we are studying the continent of Africa right now, Kenya, to be exact.  Part of our "art" yesterday was face painting that Mary Fran and Evie did for us.  We looked on the Internet for some examples which the girls followed but the boys wanted a more literal translation of the animals.  Therefore, we have...

a lion,

 a panda,

 and a beagle.  Yes, we know these last two do not live in Africa but, you know, is it really a big deal? :)

Mary Fran and Evie (and myself) decided to do something similar to a design we saw on several women and it turned out nicely.  Oh, the fun we have!
