You Say Winter Storm, I Say Just Some Snow

Last week we had rain from Sunday night until Wednesday early afternoon.  Constantly.  After about two hours of sun the clouds moved back in and the rain came back for round two turning to snow around 3 Thursday afternoon.  Between 3 and 10 pm on Thursday we got 7 inches of snow (as shown below).  It was probably more seeing as the ground was very wet and relatively warm.  The Weather Channel called it "Winter Storm Iago!"  Up here we say it was a good snow.  Must've been a slow news day.
Thursday night we had a wonderful snowball fight in the wet snow (while it was still snowing).  It was the perfect snow for snowballs...good and wet and not too powdery!  Nobody was spared as we enjoyed getting out after 4 days of being inside.

Here was the view up the road that leads to our neighbor's house.  Our little ones kept saying, "It looks like the White Witch's Narnia, Mommy.  'Always winter, never Christmas.'"
Quick shot before the fun commenced.  Poor guys were looking into the sun.
I thought this was a neat shot of a reflector on the road I showed above.  Looks like it has a little snow hat, doesn't it?  No?  Oh, well, maybe it was just me.
We steered clear of this big snowball Ward made.  He was so proud!
I have to say, this is much prettier to look at than rain.

There are some videos below.  The first is in our front yard.  The next three are from the bank between our upper and lower driveways.  The snow was so deep the kiddos had a tough time climbing the hills and Cade had a little trouble walking seeing as it came up above his knees.  Don't worry, he was game...
