Ward's 8 Months!!!

Little Wardy is 8 months today. Time has FLOWN!!! I was just looking back at Drew's "live blog" from the hospital the other day and have just marvelled at how he's grown and changed. Having a little boy is different from having a little girl and wonderful. I have been amazed at his lack of "cooing" and great presence of "grunting." Hilarious!

The Wardster is definitely active but we knew that was coming as he was more active than either girl in the womb (and they were pretty active from what I've come to find out). He loves his sisters and they love him. His eyes light up when one of them walks in the room! True to Petrey form, he loves to eat and actually seems to prefer veggies over fruit! As you have seen, the girls love to feed him, too, and will feed him without being asked if I have to go and tend to something else.

He LOVES his Johnny Jump-Up and will bounce around in it for at least a full hour if we let him. The boy has springs in his feet, I swear! He's also sitting up pretty well but just wants to dive for what he wants to put in his mouth so staying up isn't a concern to him. I really think he'll walk early because if he's sitting down and can lean on me, he's trying to stand up and will with no problem. I mean, he's got two very active sisters to keep up with, doesn't he?

As I mentioned, Ward likes to grunt a lot but in the past few days has started making more "sounds." He demonstrated at lunch today. Have a wonderful weeken!
