Pigeon Forge Bound!

This past weekend we headed over to Sevierville, TN just outside Pigeon Forge for a weekend with Karen's (my mother-in-law's) side of the family. Her sister and brother-in-law, Aunt Kris and Uncle Marshall, had rented a 7 bedroom cabin with a gameroom for all 24 of us to stay in. You can see the cabin at this link. I didn't get many pictures of the cabin itself but it was BEAUTIFUL!!!
App State was playing at UTC on Saturday and the cabin was only about 2 hours away so off we went! It was nice to get out of town for a few days. We had a great time and the Apps pulled off a win at the last few minutes to boot!
Here are all the cousins (minus Cade) before everyone headed off to the game. We're a proliferative bunch. ;) Daphne, myself, and each of our youngest two held down the fort at the cabin during the game. We did a little shopping for Christmas ornaments and books but traffic was quite heavy over Labor Day weekend so we mostly hung close to "home."
The Drew and Dustin Petrey's had the two bedrooms downstairs to ourselves. The rooms had king sized beds which was nice but that left very little floor space to put our young 'uns. One of the rooms had a small, almost completely enclosed porch off of it and Daphne graciously allowed us to have that room. Drew and I had packed the tent for our girls to possibly sleep in and the porch was perfect for it. The girls really did well and enjoyed "camping out." Ward would have if he could have but had to settle for his Pack 'n' Play. I have to say, with all 6 of us in one room everyone did very well and slept through the nights!
A shot of more of the porch.
On Sunday, we had a little worship service out on the porch that Dustin and Daphne did a great job putting together. Here we are getting ready to start. The weather was beautiful and we had such a great time with our family. We are quite blessed with wonderful family on both sides. Thank you again, Kris and Marshall, for your generosity. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to see y'all this weekend! Go Apps!
Had to stick this one in of Mary Fran and Ward once we got home. They wanted to hang out in Cade's "gear." Too much!
