Christmas Eve

As I mentioned yesterday, we always go up to the senior Petrey's for Christmas Eve. After a fabulous meal (this year was no different), we have a little "service" and then open presents. This year was extra special as Winston and Karen had gotten a beagle for Christmas. She arrived on Christmas Eve Day and her name is Emmi. She is just precious!

As you can see, Evie took right to her. Ward loved on her as well and loved to chase her around the kitchen. Mary Fran, well, she took a good while to warm up to her but by the end of the night she was petting her and even gave her a kiss goodbye.

Our Christmas Eve service was great (thanks, Daph). The older girls each had a verse to say. These two videos are of our girls saying their verses. Sorry about the dim lighting, I didn't realize it would turn out this dark.

We didn't get any pictures of us opening presents because with 5 kids 4 and under it was a little crazy. Plus, Ward was up way past his bedtime and was fussy. We were quite blessed by all of the gifts we received! We then headed home in freezing rain that had just started and the rest will be finished tomorrow...
