Winter Cleaning

This Saturday was wintry up here! We had 40 degree highs and snow flurries in the evening lasting into Sunday morning. Seeing as how we weren't going to be getting outside, Drew declared it "Petrey House Workday." He and I had already done a good bit in the bedrooms earlier in the week so we tackled the fridge and floors. I tell you what, it sure is nice to have those "extra" cleaning things done and to have a husband who is not only willing to help but spearheads it...what a blessing!

I was tied up taking care of chil'uns, getting lunch, and doing the last of the laundry so Drew did a lot of the work cleaning the fridge shelves. Isn't he a dreamy? :)
The finished product in the fridge! With Drew's retail background, he told me this was the way to organize it (with tallest in the back) and we will be rotating the "merchandise" so we know what we have. :) Actually, it makes sense to me, you know?
After some much needed naps for us while the kiddos were down we tackled the floors (since I really only mop every 3-4 months). We now have shiny floors and a spot free fridge! The girls even got in on it cleaning the windows for us and doing a great job. So, even though Old Man Winter paid us a visit Saturday it proved to be a restful and productive day. Thankfully, he's headed out today after waking up to 27 degree temps and our normal Fall weather will be returning...at least for a little bit. :)
