For our Home Preschool in October we're doing "safety" stuff. We're talking about the police, firemen, ambulances, and today we talked about being safe and 911. Daphne did a great job as we practiced counting to 30 and recognizing our letters again. She explained what 911 is and that it should only be used in emergencies when our mom or dad has told us to call. Very important distinction to make. :) We also got a sheet with each child's home address and phone number to practice at home. The kids are really excited because Daph told them that if they could memorize it by the time preschool is back at her house in 3 weeks they would get a surprise. Nothing like a little reward, huh?
Our Bible verse to learn today was "Even a child is known by his actions" Proverbs 20:11. To help explain what "actions" are each child took turns dressing up as a different type person and we all had to guess what they were as they were acting it out. It was precious, hilarious, and really helped the children understand what "actions" are. Here are a few tidbits...
Mary Fran being a baker...
Heath as a hunter, what else?
Our Eves as a ballerina and let me tell you that she put on quite a show!
