WHAT?!?! Three blog posts in a row after over a week with nothing!?! That's right! Things were going on last week that kept me from posting. Feast or famine, right? Well, on to catching up...
Last Wednesday we went to Fire Safety Day at the Ashe County Library. Can I just say that the Ashe County Library is awesome? They have had wonderful free programs this summer that we have enjoyed and their Summer Reading Program is out of this world! Anywho, we went to hear from Firefighters and Forest Rangers about fire safety. It was really informative and we even got to make a new friend...

(On a side note the man on the left is the Lansing Fire Chief and moved here from New York 12 years ago, just before 9/11. He went back up to help just after the attack. He said he personally lost 54 friends in the Towers. He has been a Firefighter for 50 years. Now that is heroic.)
