We've had snow. So much for the "milder winter after Christmas" that has been predicted. :) Oh, well, at least it isn't rain and the snow's pretty to look at! We went out in all of it on Monday for a little while as the wind was supposed to come Tuesday and especially today. We had such a good time! The chil'uns sledded for a few minutes but were more interested in making snow angels and writing in the snow with sticks they found.
After sufficiently playing in our yard, we headed to the mailbox since I didn't have a chance to get the mail on Saturday. We decided to trek on over to our neighbors' yard. It was absolutely lovely painted all white...until we invaded! The Gleason's home is a vacation home for them and we knew they wouldn't mind. Here they are playing with their sticks!
Here's the Evester in between her rolling all around in the snow. She has on her new coat we got Saturday. It matches some bibs we also got for her to go rabbit hunting with Daddy and Grandaddy. Mary Fran got some, too! Ward's gotta grow a little and then I'm sure he'll be out there with the men (and women) and dogs!Well, the "B" word (blizzard) is being used for the conditions overnight. It's not always fun but it sure makes me thankful for a home and heat! Here's to mountain life!
