The Chil'uns

Just thought I'd update on how everyone is doing...
Evie Ruth is really growing up. She is becoming more and more aware of herself and her place in this world. A little momma she is and we're working on how to handle ourselves when the others around her don't particularly care to do what she wants them to. She wants control, don't know where she gets that from! :) Her reading skills are improving more everyday and she really has a mind for math and science (now that's one I'll gladly take credit for passing along). Her natural leadership is coming to light more and more and we love watching her grow up.
Little Mary Frances isn't so little anymore. At her 4 year check-up she was actually just below the 10th percentile for weight and height (not that percentiles mean anything)! At her 3 year check-up she was in the 3rd. She has the tendency to be shy and timid but is working through a lot of that. We are very proud of her for overcoming her fear of dogs. :) She also is learning so much and writes her letters very well. She knows all of her letter sounds and is showing an interest in learning to read. The MF loves to flit about smiling and dancing gracefully. She is definitely a ballerina!
Ward is now fully 2 years old and knows he's a brother. He can hold his own with his sisters and loves them dearly. They return the sentiment. He is also very affectionate with everyone, especially his little brother, Cade. His vocabulary has really exploded in the last few weeks and he is speaking in sentences very well. We are very proud of him being fully potty trained and it is so nice to only have one set of diapers to buy. ;) "Choo choos" are his passion right now from the time he wakes until the time he sleeps. He really amazes me with how well he will put the wooden track together. We are proud of our oldest son!
Last but certainly not least is Master Cade. He is growing by leaps and bounds! Drew and I teased last night that Cade probably weighs more now at almost 3 months than Mary Fran did at 6. No, really, it's probably true! He is smiling and cooing a lot and about to outgrow his co-sleeper in our bedroom. He's sleeping through the night but we just haven't made the move yet. Cade has also discovered that his left thumb tastes good like his older brother. We love how easy going he seems to be (much like MF) and really only cries when he's going to sleep. It is wonderful to have this baby in our home.
And so that concludes the update for the day. I am going to take a little catnap before they all awake and we get going again. Have a wonderful weekend!
