We are 28 weeks and 5 days now. Time sure is seeming to go very quickly now. Quickly and slowly, actually. We have some good friends plus Dustin and Daphne who are expecting in the next few weeks and that always makes me ready to see our new baby. Don't want him coming right this second, though. We want him to get good and plump before making his debut. Here's what's been going on lately:- I went to see Carrington last Tuesday and that was my last 1 month appointment. From here on out I'll see her every 2 weeks until 36 and then it'll be every week. I made appointments for up until 36 weeks and that really brought it home how quickly this will go!
- Passed my glucose tolerance test with flying colors so no gestational diabetes here! His heartrate continues to be in the 140's which is closer to where MF's was. Evie and Ward's were always in the 150's. Glimpse into his personality maybe?
- All the movement from this little mover and shaker has basically been from my belly button down. I measured 29 weeks at my 28 weeks appointment, so he's growing but just likes to stay low. My bladder has been his trampoline since day 1.
- I told Drew a couple of weeks ago that it is usually at 30 weeks that I feel I have crossed over from "cute and pregnant" to "beached whale." This time around that feeling has come sooner (like 27 weeks). I've only gained 19 pounds so far but I think the fact that my stomach is in my lap at all times contributes. I'm not complaining as I know this won't last forever and I always have had, and this one is no exception, great pregnancies.
- Running is getting slightly more difficult but after about a mile my body gets used to it and the rest is smooth sailing. I would say, though, that a video of such a thing would be quite humorous. Don't get any ideas, Drew. ;)
- The children are really getting excited about their new little brother. They are always wanting to kiss my belly, especially Evie. We've had to talk to her about not yanking up my shirt to give him a kiss in public or mixed company. :) Ward says he's ready to be a big brother. That will be quite a thing to watch!
- The nightly heartburn (mild) has begun. I asked after Ward was born why in the world the heartburn (and gas) seemed worse that time around because it surely wasn't anatomical (I carried the girls much higher). I was told it was due to the increased testosterone in my blood from carrying a boy. Makes perfect sense to me!
Well, I think that's all for now. Our boy Cade seems to be showing us that he will be high energy like the other three we have and we're ready. I'm really looking forward to seeing his little face and seeing if he does in fact have blond hair. :) We'll see in 10-11 weeks!

Glad to hear everything is going well. I loved both my pregnancies- though it seems like forever ago! Of course my "baby" will be turning 12 in less than 2 weeks. Ah- the joys of parenting teens! I am truly blessed. Blessings to you!!
I CANNOT Wait to meet this new little guy, but I'm willing to so he can grow big and strong. I love the video of Ward showing his muscles!!!
