A Weekend to Remember

Well, I've been trying to get this post up since last Wednesday but Blogger would not cooperate. I had loaded all of the pictures but when I went to type, it would not accomodate. I tried everyday until Sunday and then finally just deleted the post and started over. We've been pretty busy since Wednesday with Evie's BD party this past weekend (pictures later), so please forgive me. I also want to qualify these pictures by letting you know that most of them have been copied from my Uncle Grayson and Jessica's sister, Katie. (Thanks guys!!) I did have my camera but between all the festivities and enjoying our children I just didn't take very many pictures. So, without further ado...

Jessica's mother, Reva, hosted the Bridesmaid's Luncheon on Friday morning which was beautiful. Afterwards, the mothers, sister, and sister-in-laws went to cash in the pedicure gift certificates Grayson and Jessica had given us all for Christmas. It was really nice being pampered and getting to know Jessica's family better. Cade was along for the ride, of course, and is just on the other side of me on the floor in his carseat. :)
After a seamless rehearsal, we celebrated at the clubhouse in my dad's neighborhood. We had decorated it earlier that morning with Luau inspiration per Grayson and Jessica's request. Aren't the tables pretty? Evie and Mary Fran were so excited that our Fair friends, the Collmer's, from Florida came up. They just HAD to sit with Estella and Ava!

We feasted on BBQ chicken, BBQ pork, green beans, corn, Mac and cheese, rolls, did I leave out anything? One word: Delicious!

Grayson addressed everyone before the cutting of the Groom's cakes. That's right, plural. The boy requested TWO ice cream cakes from Marble Slab. One was "Turtle" and the other was "Sweet Cream with Strawberries." Nice job, Grayson. Nice job.

MeMe with her buddy. (Found out later he ended up successfully changing all the settings on her camera. Good one, Ward.)

This would be my now sister-in-law laying down the law to the wedding party about what time to show up at the church the next day. Guess what...everyone was there on time. No, Grayson is not having second thoughts.

Stay tuned for the events of Saturday soon!
