Giving Thanks

How was your Thanksgiving? Good. Ours was really nice, thanks for asking. We had a big holiday weekend. We spent Thanksgiving morning here while Drew went hunting for a deer. None this time but they saw some and that was encouraging. That afternoon we raked leaves in the front yard and had a big time outside since it was absolutely beautiful (in the 60's!).
The kids had a big time as you can see.
After nap/rest time we went over to Mamaw's to stuff ourselves with the Petrey family. Aunt Molly and Evie made a special dessert (Molly picked Evie up Wednesday afternoon) that was top secret and we couldn't wait to try it! It turned out to be...
...a smashing blueberry pie! Way to go Martha Petrey and Apprentice!
Saturday we went down the road a piece to Swinging Bridge Farms to get our Christmas tree from the Lieberman's once again. That's right Chuck and his wife are Jewish Christmas tree farmers. They have unbelievable trees, too, and they're organic (and $6 a foot)! We were all excited about getting it up and did so as soon as we got home.
Daddy and his helpers inspecting the tree. Ward fell asleep in the car and was completely out!
Another view :)
Saturday night we watched one of the all time greatest football rivalries - Carolina/Clemson. We won again this year and to say it felt good would be an understatement. In light of that, I'll leave you with this...
Go Cocks!
