Catching Up

Well, we've had a good last 10 days. Hard to believe Cade is already 10 days old (and most likely over 10 lbs!). I was able to sleep in everyday last week thanks to Mom, Karen, and Drew which was really nice. Monday started me getting up and getting my shower before the kiddos wake. Thankfully, Cade has really settled in to a good 3 hour routine and that most likely means he'll be sleeping through the night between 8 and 12 weeks like our others. He's a great snuggle bunny in the middle of the night, though!

The girls and Ward are adjusting well. We're having the usual "testing of the waters" with the girls but have learned to continue to be consistent and it will pass soon. Ward has really become "a boy" in the past few weeks by climbing on everything and wrestling with his sisters. He's also extremely loving to his little brother and tells me he's going to share his room and his toys. I was also given a great big affirmative when asked if he would teach Cade to shoot. ;)

Friday night Daphne brought us a fabulous dinner. Before leaving we took a shot of all the Petrey grandkids. From left: Ward, Evie, Cade, Mary Fran, Ruthie, Julee, and LeeAnne.

Sunday night marked Cade's first bath. He got it at the kitchen sink and didn't cry once! Mary Fran did the same thing. Evie and Ward did not appreciate theirs and let us know. :)

Here he is snuggling with Daddy last night. He completely fills out any "newborn" sized clothes we have so I don't think we'll be able to use those for long.

As I look at this picture I am again amazed at the new miracle we hold in our hands and the three others we have running around our house. The Lord is good.
