Today was the day we got to see her. The children and I waited until this morning to visit as yesterday was full of visitors, we didn't want to infringe on Ruthie and LeeAnne's first time meeting little Jules, and most importantly Daph and Julee needed some time to recover. We were all very excited, though, and couldn't get up there fast enough! :)
Yes, she is absolutely precious...and very alert.
Drew got to see her yesterday after work and said he thought she looked a lot like LeeAnne. Today, however, I think she looks a lot like I remember Ruthie except with darker hair. You know, though, at this point they change "looks" about every two minutes.Evie couldn't wait to hold her new little cousin. She was very sweet and gentle. While MF was excited, she had already told me that she would wait until Julee came home before she would hold her...her arms were to small she said. I explained that she was welcome to hold Julee and her arms were most definitely not too small but she decided she wanted to wait all the same. That's our Mary Frances!
The two girls welcoming their newest Petrey playmate. It is always so sweet to see them with a little baby. And not to be left out would be the Ward boy. Although I didn't get any pictures of him with her, he was completely smitten. He kept wanting to rub her head (and did it very gently without me reminding him) and give her kisses. Ward is all boy but is quite affectionate and does have a good dash of nurturing in his nature. When Cade comes, it'll be a piece of cake with him! :)

She's been walking around and had her shower earlier. Nursing is going well and we're just all praising the Lord that little Julee is here safe and sound and both she and Daph are doing so well. They plan to come home tomorrow and I don't think anyone could calm the excitement from both Ruthie and LeeAnne. :) The Lord has truly blessed!
