Just a quick note to anyone reading asking for prayer for Dustin and Daphne (our brother and sister-in-laws). They had a son, Daniel, who was stillborn in January 2007. Daphne is now 35 1/2 weeks pregnant with a little girl, LeeAnne, and went in for a non-stress test yesterday like normal and had her appointment with the doctor. They had trouble getting LeeAnne to move much as she seemed to be asleep but she eventually cooperated and Daphne's doctor felt all was well. Needless to say, this was unnerving to Daphne. A little background...Daniel was born at 36 1/2 weeks and her signal that something was wrong was him not moving. They are scheduled to have a C-section on Wed, July 9th if the amniocentesis shows her lungs are developed (that's 12 days away). Needless to say, Daphne is quite aware at this point of LeeAnne's movements or lack thereof.
She called this morning saying that LeeAnne didn't move much during the night even when she woke up and drank some Dr. Pepper. She called the OB on call (same doctor that delivered Daniel) in her practice and asked if she could come in for another non-stress test. He told her to go on to the hospital and he'd check her out there so that if LeeAnne needed to be delivered, they could do it right away.
Please pray for peace for Dustin and especially Daphne. Also, please pray for wisdom for them and Dr. Shirley as they decide where to go from here whatever the non-stress test results. Lastly, please lift up little LeeAnne that the Lord would continue to protect her and bring her safely into this world. Thank you so much for interceding on their behalf and I'll keep you updated as we know.
