Oh, my! We've reached the end of September and with it our firstborn son's birthday. The Wardster is officially "free" (three) today. In honor of this momentous occasion here are a few of Wardy's traits:Wiry. Well, actually "scrappy." He may not be topping any of the growth charts but he sure knows exactly how to use what God's given him. He would be glad to take on anyone, anywhere, anytime...playfully, of course.
A brother. The boy definitely has needed no direction learning how to be a brother to his sisters and brother. He loves to play with all and he and Cade are already wrestling...literally. He and the girls get along fine but he knows how to get their goat when he wants to. On more than one occasion I've had to tell them, "That's just what brothers do. It's because he loves you. Your Uncle Grayson still does it to me and he's married." They're learning to get used to it.
Rowdy. Just today he called me into his and Cade's room to show me how he had climbed to the top of his tool bench holding onto Cade's crib. Cade was rather entertained. He wanted to jump off but we decided it'd be better if I helped him down. Then, he wanted to get into Cade's crib with him for a minute and proceeded to jump away to Cade's delight. Something tells me it's just beginning...
Determined. He may call me to help him with something but if I just give him a minute he can almost always figure it out. Problem solving is his forte. Again, is there an engineer in there somewhere?
Three years ago today Ward Stephen Petrey came into our lives and we have never been the same since! We love you so much, Wardy, and are so very proud of you!!!
