Tweetsie, Here We Come!

Last Thursday, we were given the great opportunity to experience Tweetsie for free!! Aunt Molly had bid on and won some tickets at an auction and then was able to get a few more through some connections for us adults to go. Can I tell you how excited the kids were?

First thing we had to do was pose on the horse. What else? :)

Ward wanted on, too.

Wagon ride anyone?

The train was ready to depart and we were game. The engine that pulled us (#190) actually used to take people from Boone to Johnson City everyday a while back. It's beautiful.

Anywho, on this ride you go through the beautiful mountains we have here and take a couple of stops for the cowboys and Indians to do a little show complete with sets. They were pretty good.

We had to lock 'em all up in Jail!!

No, as you can guess, it's a great photo op. Ward was quite teary because the door had slammed and scared him. Bless his heart!

Look like the Ingall's, don't they?

Now, this is something Daddy told us to do. You put a penny on the track and then when the train runs over it, it's as flat as a really flat pancake. We did get ours but had to do a little searching as they don't exactly stay on the track.

Engine 190!

Our first ride was the Merry-Go-Round and we rode it quite a bit as you'll see in the post after this one.

Her favorite ride

This one rode the bench the first time but then decided he was game.
