Proud Mama (and Wife)

Well, last night we held our annual "Wing Fest" Competition before the Super Bowl up at the Big Petrey's. There was some trash talkin' from my brother and sister-in-law...at church. We were not deterred. Anywho, we arrived a little before the 5 o'clock judging by Uncle Bill and his friend, Janet. The prize, of course, was this much coveted blazer...
...you want it, you know it.
Janet and Bill dove into the first wings (Dustin's).
Then, the next set, which was Winston and Molly's showing.
For some reason I didn't get a picture of the last wings which were Drew's but here's all you need to know...
...my husband defended his title from last year and WON!! His were a BBQ wing using Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce, onion, garlic, bread and butter pickles, ketchup, and a secret ingredient that I could tell you but then I'd have to kill you. ;)
He's not proud at all!
In other news, we officially have a math girl in our home. During church Evie asked Drew to write her out some math problems to solve. She did about 3-4 pages with 6 problems each on them and got them all right! She made a book out of them during our break between the first and second hour. Then, when we got home and I was making lunch, Drew made out some more problems for her at her request and she blazed through them. At the risk of being obnoxious, I had to take a picture of them because I'm just so proud...
Didn't she do great?!?! She's definitely a math and science girl!

Here's a video of her doing some problems I made for her today during our school time. OK, I'll stop there. :)

One last video to show off the Mary Frances. She is reading three letter words now and is really interested in reading. We're not proud, promise.
