Well, we knew it was coming but we thought it'd be next week. Grandaddy's beagle, Emmi, was pregnant with her first litter of puppies. Six to be exact. Her due date was to be next week but those pups decided today was the day. The first one was born a little before 2 this morning. We got up there a little before 10 and she had 5 already born. It was a beautiful sight to see! It was a first for this momma and all her chil'uns.

They all got to pet one of the puppies but only for a second. Little Emmi was very watchful.

This picture was taken when there were still just five. About 11:30 her sixth pup was born and we were able to see the whole thing. AMAZING!!!! All in all she had 4 girls and 2 boys. One of the girls is what is called "lemon" color as you can see above which is brown and white. From what Drew has told me they are pretty rare in this bloodline. Ranger's (the proud papa) mother was lemon and white as well. Sorry folks, all the puppies are staying in the family, so no chance in buying any! :)
