Riding Take 2

This past Friday we headed back up to the stables for Evie's second riding lesson. She was pumped, as we all were, but, thankfully, did not get up at 6:30 again. As you can see when we arrived, Mary Fran was in heaven...

This lesson got to be outside because the weather was beautiful and warm. Eves even got to lead Romeo out to the outdoor arena!

Ward decided he wanted to ride "Omeo" again. Isn't he just a little bump on top of that big horse?

When we were getting out of the car Mary Fran informed me that "I want to ride Romeo today and I won't be scared because I know God is always with me." Way to go, MF!!

Of course Mr. Cade was there and enjoyed himself. I think he would've ridden Romeo if he could. :)

Evie has been wanting to do a lemonade stand since late last Fall. Seeing as the weather was cool then, we decided to wait until Spring. Well, last Friday was the day! Since we don't live in a "traditional neighborhood" we made little flyers and put them in our neighbor's mailboxes on Thursday afternoon to get the word out. Evie made the lemonade, MF some chocolate chip cookies, Ward helped me hang the signs to direct people, and then we had a blast!

As you can see, they were pumped. There were storms about and so we prayed that God would allow the storms to stay away until we were finished. We also prayed that we would be able to meet new neighbors and get to know others better. Well, just as we were packing up it started to thunder and we did indeed get to meet new neighbors and have good conversations with those we already knew. They also made a total of $12.50 so each girl got $6.25. At 25 cents each, I'd say that's a good day's work.
